Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. The app works fully without an account — all data stays on your device. An account is optional and syncs your people and measuring points to servers in the EU.

How much does it cost?

The app is free at launch. Optional premium features will follow later — early users benefit.

Does the compass work offline?

Yes. Compass, KUA calculation and saved measuring points work without internet. A connection is only needed for sign-in and for loading new description texts.

Which method is the app based on?

The classic KUA calculation (Eight Houses method) and the 24 Mountains — every direction with its three sub-sectors, like a traditional Luopan.

When is Android coming?

It is in preparation and will start a few weeks after the iPhone version with a test phase on Google Play.
